Why Obama Will Be President

I'm not saying that Obama should be president... I'm just asking the question, why? You don't need to answer me on this and I don't want to get into a long debate about the candidates. I'd like to consider the voters. WHY are voters voting the way they are voting?
The great theologian and scholar, Howard Stern (yes, that Howard), provided some of the most insightful interviews of the people of Harlem and why they are voting for Obama.
I find this audio interesting, disturbing, and somewhat telling of some the American population as a whole. Take a listen by clicking this audio clip from the Howard Stern Show.
I am NOT saying that all Americans would think in such an uninformed fashion... but it is interesting to see the skew happening with the Obama bandwagon.
We were at Borders Books last night and Obama books were EVERYWHERE! Seriously. His books outnumbered McCain related paraphernalia what seemed to be 4 to 1. My wife asked one of the checkout guys why it was so obviously one-sided toward the Democratic viewpoint. He said there were McCain books on a little table up front and that McCain's books were flying off the shelf in comparison to Obama's plethora of choices in numerous locations.
Interesting!

Your audio didn't load correctly, but I googled it and listened to it on YouTube. It is pretty amazing that so many people do not have any idea why they are voting for whoever they have chosen. The truth is that the election is more of an ad campaign than a political campaign. It's like running for student body president in high school. Policy and philosophy mean nothing, it is all about popularity and image. It's a sad situation, but I guess if we don't get informed than we get exactly what we deserve. I wonder if Obama will change the flag he refuses to salute or modify the national anthem or even change the name of the country to the United Socialist States Republic, we could be USSR for short, no one else is using that now.
That is incredible. By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN!! Dale
Barry Smith, I still think you have a shot at becoming our next president if ACORN has done and continues to do its job properly. Thank you! Your Large Brother, Dale
This is definitely disturbing, however, I think it is insulting to generalize and associate this viewpoint with all or most Obama voters. I know people who vote from a position of misinformation or ignorance on both sides which is unfortunate and beyond frustrating to me.
I also know many individuals who are knowledgeable, intelligent and informed who are voting for Obama - many of them even Christians. People base their decisions on many factors.
In the end, it will end up however God intended and we will all need to support our leader. We will all have to wait and see what the results are next week. It should be interesting:). Everyone needs to get out there and VOTE!
Dale - thanks for your continued support in my campaign for president.
Nicole - I think this may have struck a nerve. There was no mention of 'all' or 'most' of Obama voters falling into the same mentality. There was a mention of 'some.'
Now that you bring it up - I believe there is a LOT of momentum with the term 'change' and 'Obama.' It would appear that this 'type' of mentality is common... not to this extent - but a little of the same kind of thing. I think we've become desensitized to some things that are really important.
One thing for sure that I agree with... we must pray for and support our president, whoever he is.
