    Proposition 8 - California's 2nd Chance

OK - let's try one more go around before we lighten it up a little.  Proposition 8 is once again trying keep the idea of "Marriage" between a man and a woman.  Some might think it is about bigotry or hatred or discrimination.  Oh, my friends - it's about so much more than that.  Let's not tell people how to live their life... but don't tell me how to define something that God has created.  The family... sex... marriage... these are all HIS creations.

To get a clearer picture of the ramifications of accepting marriage between anything other than a man and a woman - watch this video about what happened in Boston, MA.  And just so you know, it's NOT ok for you to talk to my kindergartner about homosexuality and marriage.  It's just not ok!  Case closed.

I couldn't agree more. I know there are so many other aspects that will effect every family negatively if Prop 8 doesn't pass. Many people I know think it is simply just redefining marriage (which is not simple to me in any way) so that everyone in California has "equal" rights. I am so happy to have received this video that shows what effects it will really have & now everyone on my e-mail contact has too =) Thanks Barry

    Ealeschus,
Thank you for the kind words. Glad this has helped. Be sure to send them my way. We love to have fun on this blog. Seems the more political you get - the more emotional everyone is. Fun stuff. Thanks again for stopping by.

When I was in school learning evolution was optional...and it wasn't taught until much later! Teaching about homosexuality at 5 years OLD!!! It would be so difficult to explain to a 5 year old both sides....it's a controversial subject and it's sad that public schools can't respect that.

Thank you so much Barry-Pal for sending me this video on-line. I think this is an excellent video and almost brought tears to my eyes because it is so real. I hope this video encourages more people to vote Yes on Proposition 8 and get more people to pray for this to pass in November 2008 besides you and I. I am going to forward this video to friends and family in my email contact list.

Thanks for the feedback everyone... this stands to be an incredibly important (long-term) issue for California and the United States.

Your video which I forwarded to all my email friends, family and it changed
my mothers mind about voting Yes on Proposition 8 instead of voting No
Praise God for the video and your blog, pal. I hope and pray that it changes
more hearts and minds of my other family and friends about voting Yes on
    Proposition 8.
