Lightening Up A Bit - Question...

OK - here is a question...

"What are you successfully doing to maintain ANY sense of balance in your life?"

This question does NOT need to be spiritual - but it's ok if it is God-related.  Let's share some victories we've had... just click on the 'Post a Comment' button immediately below this post.

Working from home has been huge to have balance in my life. Now I can simultaneously be with family and work...it's been huge!
Stopping to pray when I feel "unbalanced" always works. If I don't stress and anger can really just build up until I am so tired or get a headache or just blow up at everyone!
Last but not least, after some time I tend to get cabin fever and I MUST go out for a "hike" somewhere. It refreshes me...especially if I go to the river or somewhere with a waterfall and LOTS of trees! It's time to think and feel free like a kid again!

Getting away for a relaxing evening with my Wife really helps. Whether it's a dinner or a movie, or simply going grocery shopping, or even better elctronics shopping like best buy or circuit city. We don't have to buy anything ;). But I love to look at the latest in technology that is out there.

Another thing is bible study with friends. A great way to stay focused on God's purpose for us, and breaking bread and fellowship with friends.

For me, it's just stopping in the midst of this whirlwind on earth. Stopping and shutting out the worldviews to reflect on what God has done for us, for me. Just stopping to say "Thank You, Lord!" and remember that everything that I have has been His blessing. Thanking Him for the little things, like the fact that I can walk and get up in the morning to go to work, when some people don't have that luxury. Remembering what is important, Him, and thanking Him!
