    Wii - Anyone Else Sore?

OK - it seems that way too many people got a wii system for Christmas. We were among that throng.

My 8yr old son and 6yr old daughter took their wii to grandma and grandpa's the day after Christmas where they spent the night. About 4am, my son went in to grandma's bedroom and said, "My shoulder really hurts."

But it was no growing pains... it was wii pains. He had played boxing over and over and over. In fact, he beat everyone in the house - repeatedly! But, it came with some physical ramifications. I fought just two rounds with my undefeated son after church on Sunday (of which I KNOCKED HIM OUT BOTH TIMES) and I'm hurting in the shoulders.

Anyone else sore? Where and what game did you play?

I have had a wii for 1 year. My wife and I are bowling fanatics. This christmas we got two new games. I got guitar hero. I am not sore. My wife got Wii Fit. This 'game' has the opportunity to make you really sore and work you out. I recommend both games.

We don't have a Wii, but my husband's sister does so we spent much of our Christmas break playing games with the whole family. I ended up sore from boxing as well, although not my shoulders. I had issues with hyper-extending my arm, so the underside of my elbow hurt. All better now though. Glad you had a great Christmas!

The kids did get the WII as a gift as well. Everyone that played on Christmas day was sore. They played all the games and were sore all over but mainly the right shoulder and arms.

We are a Wii wantabee! We thought about it for a Christmas but Melissa wanted a plane ticket to MS for New Years to see her boyfriend and Jon wanted a new bed! Go figure! So...the Wii will have to come at a later time...Maybe for my birthday in February!! LOL Besides, Mark and I would be the ones to play with it mostly anyway. The games I want...bowling, boxing, wii fit, and american idol. I know...I don't want much. My favorite gift this Christmas...my kids got me a new coat & scarf that I'm really excited about. I also got some money and gift cards so now I can shop 'til I drop!! :) We had a great time with family and just being together. It was a great Christmas!

    Wes, Patty, Ashley & Sue,
thanks for the comments... sorry no wii for you Sue - but there's always your b-day. My arm is STILL sore from Sunday, after church (Dec 28). Can't complain though - the wii has been a lot of fun for my kids.

I am a frequent sufferer of Wii-itis. I just read an article this week that stated doctors are saying that the Wii hospitalizes 10 people a week! Awesome.
