Best Movie Of ‘08 Is Coming April 18

The best movie of the year, and possibly the decade is about to open at Century Laguna on April 18. It’s called “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed” and stars Ben Stein. Yes, I said Ben Stein… from ‘Win Ben Stein’s Money’ and ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.’ Ben is, among other things, a teacher, public speaker, social activist, speech writer for Nixon & Ford, and game show host. http://www.expelledthemovie.com/playground.php

Before you write this off as a useless blog, consider this; this movie could make a bigger Impact on this world for Christ than Mel Gibson’s “The Passion Of The Christ.” How? Great question. This movie is about Intelligent Design versus Darwinism. Ben Stein takes a smart and logical look at ID and the scholars that propose this theory as a valid option to be taught in our school systems.

What Ben uncovers is the conspiracy of taking ID and anyone who would even entertain the idea of ID as a valid option and burning them at the stake. Intelligent and reputable scholars are being fired and discredited because of their belief in ID. Secular science is intentionally squelching and suffocating the idea of ID. We live in the era of Darwin. To suggest any other option is cause for losing your job, not getting tenure, denial of being published in Scientific Journals, and being ostracized and terminally punished. The media, courts, educational system and much more are going after these scholarly and reputable scientists. The ID believers are being threatened and dismissed as promoting propaganda. They are considered right wing fanatics.

Note: this is not about teaching JUST ID. The movie is much more intelligent than that. Ben just wants to prove that ID is a valid OPTION in the world of ‘how we got here’ and to see that presented along with Darwin. In a world of free speech and freedom’s of all kinds, it doesn’t seem like an unfair request.
