Exciting Exhaustion
Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 5:56 AM Yesterday was one of those days where I went to bed exhausted. Not in a bad way, quite the contrary. I’m not a morning person per se, but my day started at 5:00am with an extensive quiet time. I have a new regiment where I’m really working on the HABITS our church adheres to… you know – H-hang time with God; A-accountability; B-bible memorization; I-involvement with the church; T-tithing; S-study of scripture.
So, I got a bunch of serious arsenal for my personal verse by verse study of Nehemiah… I also purchased a 52 week scripture memory system from John MacArthur (the first passage is Psalm 103:1-4)… I met with a professional counselor for lunch and accountability… and my quiet time lasted for about 50 minutes. It was great stuff. Not to mention I walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes while listening to a DVD on preaching for life change.
So, after small group last night and getting the kids to bed, I watched a previously recorded NBA playoff game and could hardly keep my eyes open. My body and mind was beat… but not in a bad way, quite the contrary. It was a great day.
