I'm Running For President
Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 6:00 AM You know, there is so much concern about Democrats and Republicans - homosexuality - abortion - the war - oil - global warming and all the other controversial subjects out there... I thought to myself, "The only way to settle this is to run for president myself."

In 1968, Hubert Horatio Humphrey collaborated with a young group of musicians, Tommy James & The Shondells, to kick off many of his rallies while running against Richard Nixon for president. TJ & The Shondells actually sold more 45's (single records) than anyone in the world in 1968 and 1969, including Elvis, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. They lost the election, but it was a close one.
As you run for president this year, you should consider getting Tommy James and his Shondells to assist. You would not even have to show up; this group is still selling out wherever they perform...and, through a Billy Graham Crusade in New Jersey in the late '60's as a catalyst, Tommy James has given his heart to Jesus. Songs such as Sweet Cherry Wine, Crystal Blue Persuasion, and I Love Christmas can give the message while hundreds of thousands of Barry Smith for President fans can hold up signs, banners, rain down confetti and such!

I liked the coverage, but as most TV news are slanted toward the liberal viewpoint, they ignored such important elements such as showing your photo and doing an exclusive interview. Barry, a good candidate for Secretary of State would be Nerdist E. Baker. He is currently Chancellor of Seismology at the University of Outer Gadsden. His current position and background would make him an excellent choice! dgs

The White Sox blew their 2 1/2 game lead over the Twins by getting swept in a three game set in Minnesota, mercifully ending last night (9-25-08). As President, what would you do about this?

Dale, thanks for you genuine concern for this national matter. My first inclination would be to focus on the Chicago Bears. Obviously, that would not be a good option at this point. Second would be to take a glance at the Raiders - they are a devoted group of people... but that is not necessarily good for a devoted Sox/Bears fan. So, the only option is to throw a brick at your TV... and consider restarting the American Brick Biters Assocation. As a former member in good standing of the A.B.B.A. - I can attest that this is one of the only options. And as the future president of the United States - I would make that part of my platform... for a better America. Thanks for your ocmment.
