Taryn Gets Student of the Month

My daughter got student of the month in her first grade class this morning. What a blessing to see her beaming face at the 'ceremony.' It's a bit odd, because she was really wanting to be student of the month.

I'm not sure if she was just trying to match her brother's achievements. Maybe she was comparing herself with other friends in her class or school. Regardless, it was just a bit odd the questions she was asking her mom about student of the month. Hoping. Prodding. Asking if we got a letter from the teacher.

Regardless, I am proud of her. In fact, I was proud of her before she got the award. Once again, this goes back to describing the way God sees us. We get so wrapped up in accomplishments and 'wins' instead of just understanding that God love us.

God is proud of us because we are His! And that's enough. That doesn't give us the right to just disobey or live however loose we want. Nope. There are consequences to our decisions. But the good news is - success or failure - win or lose - victory or mistake - God is proud of YOU!
