My Waitress Had a Gun!

It's not often you go to a Red Robin and the waitress has a gun! I've heard of a 'loaded baked potato' - but this was serious stuff.

Now before you freak, Charmagne, and she was a police officer raising money for the Northern California Special Olympics through a program called, "Tip A Cop." There were actually two Gold-Medal Swimmers at our table who explained all the great stuff coming up in June in Davis, CA.

You gotta like cops who give back to their community and serve those who could use a break. We would do well to follow their example. We gave them a nice little tip... but probably more than that, we got to experience a few people who are actually doing what all Christians are called to do... be Jesus with skin on. We're called to reach out to those who need it. We're called to put ACTION to our desires and intentions.

AWESOME Restaurant

I took my wifey out on a date last Friday - just because.

I thought we could try somewhere we'd never been before. I had seen this place called CRUSH 29 several times in the Sacramento Bee Ticket and had always wanted to go.

So - I set out to review their website. WOW - talk about cool. Very classy, user friendly, and I could easily make a reservation right there on line. So I did!

And it was truly FANTASTIC! The Rib eye Steak I had was unbelievably full of flavor and cooked to perfection. A little chipotle butter on top just sealed the deal. I will definitely go back to that place!
