    Ministry-More Compassionate

Ministry is not about meeting the surface needs of all the followers. Young leaders let Ray Johnston know of their desire to be led well by elder leadership.

As I picture it, it's great to give the passing, "Praying for you," when rubbing shoulders with someone you know has a need. But is that really compassion?

Some show compassion by reaching out to the less fortunate. Others champion the rights of those who can't defend themselves. Maybe, compassion can be extended to those in your own family. How cool would it be for a teenager to really understand and empathize with a parent going through a tough time... instead of consistently being focused on their own world... their own emotions... and their own needs?

Are you short on compassion anywhere in your life? I think I'll go hug my kids.

Proposition 4 - Teen Abortion Notice

California's Proposition 4 supports that at least one parent (family member) would be notified before a daughter under 18 years of age would have an abortion. Quite frankly, I am wondering what in the world happened that allowed this to NOT be a right of the parent.

Seriously! A teenager under 18 cannot get a tan, or a cavity filled, or even an aspirin (or antacid or vitamin) dispensed by a school nurse without a parent being notified. Let's see - abortion vs aspirin... are you kidding me?

Forget religion. Forget God. Let's just put our thinking cap on for just a moment. Who proposes we do this? Who in the world would vie for such a horrific policy? Who funds this? Well, it's none other than Planned Parenthood... the nations largest abortion provider.

WOW - now that's rich! I wonder if they make a few dollars each year on underage abortions. I wonder how much money they stand to lose if this Prop gets passed by Californians.

My friends - this isn't primarily about God and me being a pastor. If a doctor did any procedure like this on my underage daughter, without my permission, there would be hell to pay. I truly cannot believe that this great state allowed such a preposterous idea to even be a consideration, let alone policy. Vote YES for Proposition 4.
